not a bad view to ring in the first day of february. notice the solid metal bench half-buried in sand. though i love when the weather here gets swimmable, there’s serious perfection in these mild winter days, harsh bright sunlight into the late afternoon, deserted beach, kicked up wind. sat out for a few hours today finishing a fine, fine novel, drinking tea out of a thermos, soaking up the salt.
